Project #2: - THE SPACE BETWEEN -



 Initially, I wanted to create something sleek and interesting. However, as I played around with Rhino, grasshopper and Sketch-up I began playing around with various methods to demonstrate "Fluid Luminosity" or the uninterrupted flow of light and brightness. I began constructing more interesting concepts which formed thin structures which created optical illusions due to the light reflecting off of the virtual structure in certain ways.

18 Axonometric Drawings:

 Drawing axonometric to begin with was very difficult. In order to counter this I drew out lines parallel to one another at a 45 degree angle as a reference guide. This was a huge help when it came to drawing out the second v

 The axonometric drawings were drawn in consideration of the concepts, in particular 'fluid luminosity' and 'stratified'.

Both with varying levels of thought, they birthed conceptually and in reality, various marvellous pieces of Architecture that have inspired and awed individuals across the globe.

As a tutorial group, the concepts for each Architect that were shared included the following:

Chosen Concept: Fluid Luminosity

Ma YanSong:

* Environmental Symbiosis

Statement: Maintaining tradition and sustainability without compromising innovation.

Chosen Concept: Stratified

With these main concepts in mind, I decided to go with the theme of Sustainability, something that is becoming increasingly prevalent in the modern society.
